It is really nice sometimes to have a change in routine when you least expect it. This morning after arriving at work I could not get logged into the computer system. I called the "help desk" they didn't know what the problem was, so they were notifying the "specialist." I waited, waited and kept trying to log in . . to no avail. Come 8 a.m. we still didn't have connectivity. The rule for transcriptionists is we get paid for 2 hours of "downtime,"so at 8:30 I was mandated to go home . . .wahoooooo! I was tickled . . .I didn't know what to do first. I put a load of laundry in and headed out to ride a training horse. Halfway through my ride my phone went dead. My dilemma . . . when I got done riding my first horse do I call in and see if the computers are up and running?
What should I do . . .
What would you do . . .
What is the right thing to do . . .
Do I really want to do the right thing . . .
Do I want to keep my job . . .
I broke down and called into work . . . .
DRATS, the computers just became functional. My playing hooky was over for the day.
I hurried up with putting things away and I had to take another shower as I don't believe anyone at work would like my perfume choice for the day . . .Die Fly, which smells like diesel fuel.
Back to the old grind . . .but I was rejuvinated to have a few hours off.
