Pine Island SEMSCA show

Posted by tmcoyle@gundluth.org on July 12, 2010 at 8:30 AM

We braved the weather and headed to Pine Island yesterday, Sunday, July 11th, even though they were predicting rain.  We drove through a downpour coming into Rochester and our spirits were dampened a bit, but once we drove past Oronoco the rain let up.  It was a relief to have no rain throughout the day and we were lucky the early  morning shower settled the dust in the arena.  The Pine Island arean is sheltered by a grove of trees, so there was very little chance of breezes, but when you were on the far end of the arena there was a very nice breeze.  There were times, especially in the English jacket, that I was tempted to do small circles on the far end just to feel the breeze.  Next weekend our show will be in Rochester.
